Çoruh Şimşek

I take an idea all the way: the sketch, the prototype, the pitch.

I'm a mechatronics engineer and I've founded two companies. Most of what I've made exists so someone could do a thing they couldn't the day before.

The building is only half of it. I've spent as long on the other side of the table: hundreds of calls with studios, investors and partners, convincing a school, a team or a buyer that something is worth backing, and staying long after the start to keep it running.

These days the person I build for is mostly me. I handed the busywork of my life to an AI system I built, which keeps several small projects running at once and leaves me room to think. As a founder I've always had to find my own way where no path was set, and now that new technology is making the whole world that uncertain, I feel better equipped for it than ever.

Sound: my master's was in sonic arts, and the synth sketches from it became a small instrument. play the sound wall →
